Luka Popovic (Serbia)
LISBON, PORTUGAL – A member of D.A.M.A, a Portuguese band who headlined One Direction at their last concert in Lisbon has accussed Jeroen van der Boom of plagiarism regarding his latest song Overal Waar ik Ga.
Francisco Maria Pereira; also known as Kasha, has claimed that the Portuguese single Não Dá is the original motivation for Jeroen van der Boom’s song and having listened to them both, the melody although at a different tempo, the original being slightly slower is equal in rhythm and scope.
Jeroen came to prominence at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 having represented Holland as a member of The Toppers, a popular singer in both Holland and Belgium. This is not the first time that he has been accused of plagiarism. For his part, Kasha has stated on his official Facebook page that he is not best pleased. Check out both versions for yourself
