POLAND – Fan sites in Poland report that 2009 Polish representative, Lidia Kopania has submitted a song for the Polish national selection composed by Swedish duo, the names of which have not been revealed.
PORTUGAL – EBU and RTP have now confirmed the locations for the EuroVillage and revealed finally the one for EuroClub. Eurovision.tv reports: The Eurovision Village will be located at Praça do Comércio, the most iconic square in Lisbon. It will open from 4th May and will feature a large screen for the public to watch the live shows. It will also be the central hub for sponsor activities and a series of concerts and performances throughout the Event Weeks. The EuroClub, the place to party during the Eurovision Song Contest, will be located at Lust in Rio in Cais do Sodré, very close to the Eurovision Village. It will be open from 4th May with the exact schedule to be confirmed in the coming months.
PORTUGAL – We remain in the host country as Lisbon is also gearing up the press announcement for the participants in the national selection. The event will take place at 12:30 CET on January 18th at the Fabrica do Pão do Hub Criativo do Beato.
PORTUGAL – One more news item comes from the host country. Eurovision 2017 winner Salvador Sobral is officially at home. Due to quick recovery the hospital dismissed the Eurovision winner who now enjoys his family and friends. His family issued a statement on Facebook thanking the fans and making sure that we will all enjoy Salvador soon on various stages. We wish all the best to our boy!
BELARUS – Belarusian national broadcaster confirmed that the date for the national final will be February 16th. The winner will be decided by jury and public voting. 11 acts have proceeded to the final among them the hot favourite, Ukrainian singer, Nikita Alekseev. Today 2007 Belarusian representative Dmitry Koldun endorsed Alekseev’s bid to Lisbon and wishes him all the best. NORWAY – NRK gave the privilege to registered fans to listen to the participating entries of 2018 MGP, through which thee country will decide its participation in the Lisbon Eurovision Song Contest edition. It is clear from fan site ESC Norge that the fan comments were more than positive although no detail revealed regarding the participants. We remind you that NRK will reveal the participants on January 15th.
ARMENIA – Armenian national broadcaster will start revealing the songs for the national selection, Depi Evratesil, int he following dates. From 15 to 18 of January daily AMPTV will reveal five songs daily.
