With the closing of the registration period for the event and after the rumors about the possible participation of Neda Parmac, Lidija Bacic, Dami Kedzo and Antonija Sola, among others, Croatian press has advanced that HRT received about 150 songs for the race by the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. According to sources close to the station, the selection jury will hear the songs in the coming days, and it is likely that the list of 16 selected will be revealed by the end of next week.
Philipp Krikorov, Alexander Panayotov, Manizha, Olga Buzova, Egor Kreed, Lena Temnikova and Sergey Lazarev are tipped by Super.ru for Eurovision 2019.
Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo have been confirmed as special guests of the Festival di Sanremo 2019. Giorgia and Elisa will also be present at the Italian competition.
The two semi finals of Beovizija 2019 are going to take place on the 27th and the 28th of February, where 12 songs are going to compete in each. Televoters from all over Serbia as well as a professional jury will select six songs from each semi final to qualify for the Final. The Grand Final of Beovizija 2019 will take place on Sunday, 3rd of March, where once again the televoters and the jury are going to select which act is going to represent Serbia in Tel Aviv.
The Latvian broadcaster has confirmed via Twitter that their national selection will start on 26th January. Whereas, The final is set to take place on February 16th.
TVR has now announced that they gave out two wildcards – one to Bella Santiago – the latest winner of X Factor Romania, who also competed in the last year’s edition together with the band Jukebox, and the second one to Linda Teodosiu.
