Jalisse are back in the saddle
FORNOVO DI TARO, ITALY – On September 20th, the small town of Fornovo will host the very first World Day of Knights, a cultural and sporting event to restore the spirit of cavalry.
On the occasion and after a worldwide competition called “Song of The Knight 2014”, an official song has been chosen.
The winning song, titled “L’Alchimista, Per Sempre Tuo Cavaliere” (The Alchemist, forever yours my knight), composed by Andrea Cappabianca.
The duo Jalisse (Italy 1997) designated to choose the winning entry and perform it on the big night. The anthem will hence be premiered on September 20th.

Jalisse is a duo composed of Alessandra Drusian and Fabbio Ricci, formed back in 1994. Three years later, they won the popular Sanremo Festival with their song “Fiumi Di Parole” (Rivers of words) and a few months afterwards, Jalisse waved the Italian tricolor in Dublin for the Eurovision Song Contest. They finished in 4th on the scoreboard, but Italian broadcaster’s disapointment was so deep, that the country refused to take part again, until the 2010 comeback. In 2008, Jalisse tried to become the very first Sanmarinese representative in Eurovision, but they were defeated by local boyband Miodio.
