Hungary 2015: review of first heat & online poll
BUDAPEST, HUNGARY – The team of oikotimes.com is launching the series of reviews for the three semifinals of A Dal 2015, the show through which Hungary will decide upon its participation to Vienna’s Eurovision Song Contest 2015. In this post our editor is reviewing the first semifinal entries, followed by a link of their songs and also concluded with an online poll in which you decide your three favourites. The team of oikotimes.com will be on the spot in Budapest on February 28th for the grand final of A Dal 2015!
Balazs Farkas Jenser – Liar – Very interesting piano intro. He sounds very cheerful as the catchy tune of the song. It does sound as many of today’s pop song, but you can not mind it as it something that sells on the market.
Bogi Dallos- World Of Violence – No she didn’t!!! We all know what Running was about and Bogi is going with song with a similar message. Too soon from the same country. She and the song do sound good, but it’s so wrong from her to do a thing like this.
Magyar Bori – Lead Me To Heaven – I can already imagine amazing stage performance with this song. Beats are very simple, but they do get in you ear immediately. Yes, it is something what we all heard before, but it does stands out a bit.
Szűcs Gabi – Úgysem Felejtesz El – She is one of the most experienced singers competing this year, unfortunately, she didn’t use that experience to apply with a better song. I have a big deja vu listening to it. Maybe someone will like it, but I don’t.
Gergo Szakacs – Osz Utca – Beautiful, emotional ballad. He sounds perfect and I hope he sounds like this or even better live. Backing vocals are making the song sound so so good. You’ll at least have to like the influence of piano.
Karmapolis – The Time Is Now – We don’t get much electro pop songs in NFs, so when we do, I am very thrilled. It’s not amazing, but it is something. It has something that will get you, as it got me. (I hope)
MDC – Maniac – Another boy band. For me, it’s worse than previous boy band song, more trashy to be exact. I get that some people could like it, but this could not do good at Eurovision.
Passed – Mesmerize – A very flat, monotonous and boring song. I must wonder why did jury pick this song to compete. By the title, song should hypnotize you, but this song will do, is make you sleep it over.
Timi Antal – Woke Up This Way – This up tempo song will shake you with first rhythms. I think that you also can imagine an amazing eccentric performance along it.
Vera Toth – Gyemant – Remember the dramatic intro from Let It Go? Well here it is way better. It maybe has dark feeling, but the song is just great and so mystical. Also her voice is sooooooo clear and perfect. One of the best songs, if you ask me.
