Hungarian Eurostars in Public Media Day
BUDAPEST, HUNGARY – Last Saturday was a very special day in Hungary. It was Public Media’s day and a big celebration on the streets of Budapest was planned. Several Hungarian eurostars will hold a gig. They were A Dal participant Bogi, the guy who represented Hungary this year in Copenhagen – Kallay Saunders and ByeAlex, who was in the contest last year in Sweden. Kallay performed alongside his newly established band, some of his songs and several wideknown tracks, but in a totally new arrangement. ByeAlex performed along with Szimfonik Band, aka a symphony orchestra. There is no doubt that it was a treat for everyone who attended the event.
DID YOU KNOW?
Although Hungary debuted in 1994, they have participated twelve times, ten times in the final. Hungary didn’t manage to qualify in 2008. and 2009. Then they with drew in 2010, but luckly for the fans, they came back next year with Kati Wolf and What about my dream. Even being of the fan favourites Kati ended up only 22nd. In the last two years Hungary made it up to top 10. Last year ByeAlex was 10th, and Kallay finished fifth this year, for what you can say thay it is their best result, as when they finished fourth in 1994, only 25 countries participated.
