GREECE – If we believe the story by local press, ERT is upgrading the Eurovision Song Contest project.
According to the report posted on Greek press blog, ERT is considering all options for 2020 Eurovision Song Contest participation. Two scenarios are on the table: internal selection and then a song selection via a live sow or a talent show (like 2004).
Though there is one problem in the information given. ERT administration is still pending and therefor Eno decision can be reached by the current Eurovision team in the broadcaster. As always Greece decides it’s Eurovision strategy around mid September, therefore we would suggest to read his info with caution.
In the meantime many have already expressed their interest to represent the country in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest edition. Jason Mandilas (2017 dancer with Demy), Athena Manoukian, Nikos Gannos, Diana Rouvas (nothing to do with Sakis Rouvas), Areti Ketime (who tried in 2018).
Along those names we have the rumours sparkled from their performances at the MAD Video Music Awards 2019: Vangelis Kakouritis who perfumed with Luca Hänni and Stefania Lymperaki (former JESC participant) who out of the blue was suddenly invited in the event.
In a latest update we were informed the ERT denies the information
