Greece 2017: awaiting the final answer by ERT; who’s your favourite?
GREECE – It is now confirmed that two acts are left in the running of representing Greece in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. The initial Helena Paparizou bid which was abandoned for unknown reasons, Kalomira’s lack of interest for 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and the failed bids by Giorgina Karachaliou and Apostles Psichramis, plus the official denial of another female artist this morning to oikotimes.com, there are only two names left for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest representation: Demy and Stereo Soul.
Demy is only 25 years studying law in the Greek university. At the same time Greek media consider her as the “princess of Greek pop” since from 2012 till today she has managed to have 5 number 1 radio hits , she had a leading role in 5 musicals (among them Mamma Mia!) , she has won 8 mad video music awards while in 2013 she was nominated as “Best Greek act” at MTV Europe music award. In 2012 her song “Fallin” topped the annual Russian airplay chart, while it became a massive hit in several CIS countries.
Stereo Soul is a duo of men (Bradley and Panos) who participated and ended third in the 2016 X-Factor edition in Greece. Labeled by FeelGood, they are two newcomers in the Greek music scene inspiring with their amazing vocals and sound like the Greek version of Il Volo.
