Greece 2016: ‘Song to bring fresh balkan sound in Eurovision’ says ERT president
ATHENS, GREECE – Preparations for the song presentation of the internally selected band from Thessaloniki are underway as the ERT President Mr Dionysis Tsaknis is personally handling the project.
Dionysis Tsaknis stated: “The song is going to have intense ethnic sound but it will not be cheap […] The sound will be happy and balkan with plenty of “Greek” colour and definitely not pessimistic. It’s not an objective to go to Eurovision with another typical international tune but with a song made of Greek sounds. Through its lyrics we want to be optimistic for our country with references to the refugees and the economic crisis. It will be a happy and dance song.
Regarding the participants from Thessaloniki, ERT president confirms that the artists are unknown but the composer is quite experienced and they will eb worth of the circumstances. He didn’t confirm or deny the existence of sound and lyrics from Pontus as oikotimes.com originally revealed.
The song will be presented within the month as they are still in process of the production. It is worth to say that according to the ERT President, he might be totally stranger to what Eurovision is but he is aware that the event is a profitable resource for ERT and he states eager to defend it. It is no secret that unless we hear a masterpiece there will be a huge trolling on the web!
