GERMANY 🇩🇪 Michael Schulte, the 2018 German representative who managed to do quite well in the Grand Final got married with Katharina who’s excepting his child on early August. Few days ago Michael had his first gig in Denmark at the annual People’s Political Festival where oikotimes.com attended.
Michael Schulte is a German singer and songwriter. He began his singing career in 2008, posting covers on his YouTube channel and later placed third on season one of The Voice of Germany in 2012. His debut studio album Wide Awake was released later that year. He represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song “You Let Me Walk Alone”. He finished in fourth place with 340 points.
On 29 December 2017, Schulte was confirmed to be one of the six acts competing in Unser Lied für Lissabon, the German national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, with the song “You Let Me Walk Alone”. The song was later released on 20 February 2018. In the final, held on 22 February, Schulte received top points from the Eurovision Panel, international jury, and televoters, receiving the highest score possible and winning the competition. He represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. He has been called the German Ed Sheeran.
