Germany 2017: legal dispute forces Wilhelm “Sadi” Richter to withdraw
GERMANY – Wilhelm “Sadi” Richter, candidate of this year’s ESC preliminary decision, has withdrawn his candidacy. The reason for this is her current legal disputes.
The Dortmund singer Wilhelm Richter withdrew his candidacy for the show “Eurovision Song Contest – Unser Song 2017”. There are apparently two accusations of the prosecutor’s office Dortmund. According to a spokesman, this is about fraud and theft. “The accusations were raised at the juvenile in August 2016,” he said on Tuesday.
“Reports about me are causing so much hustle and bustle – I would first like to clarify and process this,” the 19-year-old said in a report from the Norddeutsche Rundfunk (NDR). “I myself am shocked for what I am being accused of. I was totally looking forward to attending the national final, but I would not want to do it under these circumstances. So I can not stand undefeated.”
Judges did not provide any information on the “allegations”. His successor is Yosefin Buohler (21) – the native Cologne woman is an educated actress. She is half-swedish and currently lives in Stockholm. As a 13-year-old she was in the final of “Das Supertalent”.
In the show on February 9, Germany’s candidate for the Eurovision Song Contest is to be determined. The audience should vote on the winner. The other four candidates are Axel Maximilian Feige, Felicia Lu Kürbiss, Helene Nissen and Isabella Lueen. The musicians Lena and Tim Bendzko as well as Florian Silbereisen comment on the performances. The moderator is Barbara Schöneberger.
