GALLERY: LOTS OF WORK LEFT TO DO!
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – Last preparations on Eurovision Island: The two big banners on B&W Hallerne can be seen from many places in Copenhagen. And with only two week until the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen the last preparations on the Eurovision Island and around B&W Hallerne are taking place these days.
There is still a lot of work to be done before thousands of audiences will arrive to the island for the rehearsals and shows. In front of the arena a huge tent is being built right now, properly for the audience to be before entering the arena, and a big area next to the halls is made into the press center and the dressing room area.
The island seems raw and industrial but according to DR they want to keep it this way but there will be made bars and entertainment so a Eurovision fever will start already before the audiences are going into the halls for the shows.
Close to the halls the Danish flag colors red and white and painted on the ground. Here Danish contestant Basim recorded his postcard to be shown right before his performance on May 10th. On Monday the first rehearsals will start and the Eurovision Island will be ready to welcome all 37 participants and the press and fans.
