FYR Macedonia 2018 🇲🇰 official presentation for “Lost and Found” by Eye Cue
FORMER YUGOSLAV REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA – ‘Lost and Found’ is the name of the song to be performed by Eye Cue for the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon next May. The highly anticipated music video for ‘Lost and Found’ was premiered this evening on the FYR Macedonia’s Television (MRT) evening news programme Dnevnik 2 and has been eagerly awaited since last February’s announcement of Eye Cue as the FYR Macedonia’s representatives at Eurovision.
The song is an uplighting and infectious song and is superbly performed by the group’s lead vocalist Marija Ivanovska. ‘Lost and Found’ is written by Eye Cue’s Bojan Trajkovski and produced by leading Balkan producer Darko Dimitrov.
Speaking of the song, Bojan said “This is a song about deep and unconditional love where one can dive deeper into the world of the unknown and experience the magic of true and powerful love. I hope Eurovision viewers will enjoy the cheerful melody and the charming vocal of Marija.”
The video was directed by Jovan Kucinovski in Skopje and involved a demanding one take video shot which has never been done by Eye Cue before. “Actually Marija had lot of fun during the video filming and we were really impressed with her energy and enthusiasm during the process. She stayed really focused, so her acting skills saved the day” said Bojan about the video recording.
Talking about the song and her upcoming Eurovision experience, Marija said “When I first heard the song, Bojan was playing it on the piano and I instantly liked it, I felt the emotion right away. It took only 20 seconds to fall in love with this melody, I hope the audience will react the same way as I did. I am really excited that I will perform this song on the Eurovision stage and will have a chance to share my emotions with everyone”.
