Kaliopi is back! I loved her and the rock sound in 2012. Now she is back with a more traditional sound. The song is quite dramatic and it sounds like she really means it and I like that. She has a wonderful voice, no doubt about that. But I don’t think the song isn’t as good as her voice. Will she make it to the Grand Final again? I’m not sure. The song clearly stands out from the rest and that might be an advantage for FYR Macedonia.
Fotis Konstantopoulos from Greece
Not sure about the tune for this country. It sounds a bit old fashioned and I am not sure if it can be appealing enough to the TV viewers. On the other hand we have the asset which is called “Kaliopi” with a powerful voice and for sure we can expect a good performance. The song is also not ethnic, something which can help FYR Macedonia to maybe qualify to the final. But again regarding the tune I cannot find a good reason to vote high for it.
Luka Popovic from Serbia
Kaliopi is back this year with another nice song. She is undoubtedly the most famous singer coming from the former Yugoslavia this year and is likely to pick up a lot of points from the public in the region, as was the case a few years back. Her previous entry is more powerful and this entry will probably appeal more to viewers in the Balkans. Still, with her excellent vocals she is sure to give it her best and could appeal to the judges. Nice to have a song sung in the artists’ native language, something which is really lacking this year.Albania – Albania has had some great entries over the past few years. I’m not a massive fan of this one. It just kind of gets lost, especially in this year’s strong field of songs. It will need a really good stage performance and a very good draw to be competitive. I don’t know what more can be said of this song. It just misses the mark for me and I’m not so certain it will manage to qualify to the final.
