PARIS, FRANCE – During the summer a poll was conducted among French Eurovision fans concerning the 2014 entry, the artist and the method of selection. 10 questions were asked by www.eurovision-bonsoirparis.com and nearly 500 fans answered.
To sum up those results, we can say that French fans would like a Melodifestivalen-like show (56%) for more transparency. The song should focus on quality (79%), and be composed by a famous composer, French or foreigner (54%), for a well-known singer (61%) and preferably a solo female artist (75%).
As far as genre is concerned, a ballad (73%) or an electro song (59%) would please French Eurovision fans, as long as the lyrics are entirely or partially in French (48%).
Eventually, fans were asked which artist should be sent to Copenhagen. The lucky winners are Shy’m (28%) and Emmanuel Moire (24%)
Actually, those two artists are rumoured every year so wait and see…
The results of the poll will soon be sent to France 3. Let’s hope we will, for once, see a French entry that pleases Eurovisions fans.
