FREDERIKSBERG PREPARES FOR EUROVISION
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – The Town of Frederiksberg in the middle of Copenhagen has an annual festival called “Frbdage” and this year it takes place in the Eurovision Week between May 9th to May 11th. The programme is influenced with Eurovision events for fans visiting Copenhagen and all events are free to attend.
On May 9th “The Bottle Boys” will perform Danish Eurovision songs on bottles as a tribute to the Eurovision Song Contest at Søndermarken Park from 17:00 – 18:00. From 20:30 – 21:30 at Solbjerg Plads The Olsen Brothers, Eurovision winners from 2000, will make a performance with their hits including “Fly on the Wings of Love”. From 23:30 – 01:00 Kirsten & Søren (Denmark 1984, 1985, 1988) will perform together with Søren Poppe (Denmark 2001) and the orchestra Grand Prix de Luxe.
On May 10th the Frederiksberg Town Hall Tower plays tunes from the Eurovision Song Contest. Songs like “Poupee de cire Poupee de son”, “Ein Bisschen Frieden”, “Halleluja” and “Only Teardrops” will played from 12:00 – 12:30. On Solbjerg Plads from 18:00 – 19:30 11 times host of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix Jørgen de Mylius will be the DJ and playing Eurovision songs and he will also tell stories from his experiences in Eurovision. On the same location you can watch the Grand Final show on a big screen from 20:00.
