PARIS, FRANCE – FranceTélévisions, the broadcaster in charge of Eurovision in France, has informed us this morning that they were launching a casting call to choose the 2014 representative.

In addition to the usual EBU rules (an original 3 minute-long entry performed by a maximum of 6 persons, and which wasn’t broadcast or performed prior to September 1st 2013), France 3 also indicates that the song should be entirely or mainly in French.

Those, who are at least 16 y.o and wishing to apply, must send a demo via webtransfer to before Sunday, November 24th.

FranceTélévisions did not indicate how they will choose the song. Will it be an internal choice like in 2013, or a public national final… more information will be given in due course.
