🇺🇦 What are the Vidbir jury members think of the first semi final songs? The Ukrainian national selection jury member and Eurovision winner Jamala revealed online some of their thoughts. According to Jamala: “I was very pleased with the first semi-final. And very glad that the audience’s preferences do not always coincide with the choice of judges! This is very cool, it proves that you choose the song that you want to hear in the competition by yourself! You have great strength! Take advantage of this! Personally, I still can not say that I heard a song that I can already see representing the whole country at Eurovision. I’m waiting for the impressive second semi-final.”
🇸🇲 Two of the songs in the contest in 1 in 360 , San Marino national final for the Eurovision 2018 Festival, may violate the EBU / EBU regulations for the competition. The two songs performed by Irol, the only San Marino singer in the contest and by Jessika Muscat, from Malta, contain excerpts from two songs released by the San Marino singer before September 1, 2017: “Stuck Without Me” contains excerpts of “Decollo”, available since May 2017, while “Who we are” uses parts of “Cardiopalma” , released on August 1st. However, to date, it is not known whether SMRTV has received permission from the EBU / EBU so that, in case of choice, the two songs are eligible to participate in the Eurovision 2018 Festival. In addition to being made available before the EBU / EBU deadline, the two songs are also available on the iTunes and Spotify selling and streaming platforms, if different from “Non mi avete fatto niente” : the song advocated by Ermal Meta and Fabrizio Moro at the Festival of Sanremo 2018 which contains an excerpt from “Silenzio” by Ambra Calvani, a song that was never released commercially.
