Mélovin has confirmed that he will be indeed performing as an interval act in Vidbir 2019. During this interview, he was asked about how he feels returning to Vidbir and who he is rooting for.
Earlier tonight, it was announced that Saara Aalto will be skating to Sandie Shaw’s ‘Puppet on a String’ – the UK’s winning entry from 1967 – on this week’s Dancing on Ice. Notably, this was the UK’s first winning Eurovision entry.
Belarus is one of the countries that was late to make announcements for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, but the proceedings are proceeding very quickly. Already the deadline for submitting entries for the national finals ended and 113 songs were deposited, a number of no complaints.
In December last year, Georgian broadcaster GPB launched their search for their Eurovision 2019 song. The submission window closed today, with over 200 songs being submitted to the broadcaster. The rules were that the songs must not have been previously presented to the public, nor could they exceed 3 minutes in length.
YLE has announced that Eurovision winner Emmelie De Forest will be the guest performer for UMK 2019. Emmelie revealed that the 2013 winner song was submitted in 2012 in German selection.
