Ukrainian national broadcaster confirmed participation in the Eurovision Young Dancers 2013 edition as reported earlier. NTU will select the representatives. The two selected artists will be given out to the hands of the show choreographer to decide the final representative of Ukraine in Gdanks next June. Qualifiers will be announced on February 15th. On March 15th we will know the 12 countries participants in this year’s contest.

The usual rules apply for Ukraine as well: participants must be aged 16 to 21 and only solo dancers can submit their interest and they’re not used in a professional manner and with education classical or modern dance school. Each participant can perform a solo dance of 1min. 30 seconds and they can decide upon the song. In the final phase a group dance act will require also some skills for the choreographer to decide the winner. Group dancing will be in two groups.

NTU jury will select the two dancers and the final decision will be determined by evaluation of the jury of the two parties.

Ukraine debuted in the EYD contest in 2003 with the country’s representative, Zherlin Ndudi winning the contest.
