Maša & Lejla for Montenegro in Malta
PODGORICA, MONTENEGRO – Montenegro is debuting this year at Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Now state’s broadcaster has revealed that they will be represented by a duo made of two girls – Maša Vujadinović and Lejla Vulić with song Budi dijete na jedan dan (Be a kid for one day).
Maša is 14 years old and she is finishing elementary school in Podgorica and she is also in sixth grade in music school, while Lejla goes to seventh grade at Knightsbridge International School in Tivat and she has just finished fifth grade at music school for violin. Both girls have participated at several music festivals and won awards.
Mr Slaven Knezović, head of the music department at RTCG, said that this is a grate opportunity for young musicians to be affirmed and to participate at a prestigious festival like Junior Eurovision is. He also said that that the girls deserved to right to represent Montenegro because of their talents, knowledges and previous experiences.
The lyrics of the song were written by Lejla and Sanja Perić, while the music was done by Slaven Knezović and Miha Radonjić. The will be premiered in mid September.
