EX YUGOSLAV VOCALS TEAM FOR SERGEJ
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Although Croatia won’t be sending its own representative to Eurovision this year, some of its signers will be appearing on stage after all. Montenegro’s representative at the contest, Sergej Ćetković, will have three backing vocalists from Croatia on stage with him in Copenhagen. They are Martina Majerle, Ivana Čabraja and Dragan Brnas. Completing the former Yugoslav team is Serbian ballerina Jovana Stanisavljević who will also be on stage with Sergej.
Martina has already been at Eurovision and was part of the group Putokaz which represented Croatia at the contest on its debut as an independent nation in 1993. Ivana Čabraja, born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has collaborated with many famous singers from the former Yugoslavia, including many Eurostars such as Nina Badrić, Dino Merlin, Tony Cetinski, Hari Varešanović and Zdravko Čolić. Dragan Brnas, a music producer, has served as a backing vocalist at Eurovision on two occasions.
Sergej will sing “Moj svijet” (My world) for Montenegro in the first semi final on May 6.
