Yorgos Kapoutzidis, the recent years’ commentator of ERT for Eurovision seems to have stated to Greek media that he is not interested to do it anymore. Eurovision was a venture for him that are its cycle and now he focuses on new goals.

RTL reports that 1998 Eurovision entrant Edsilia Rombley has been approached by the three broadcasters to host the 2020 Eurovision edition next May.
As well as capturing the hearts of Europe and taking the Eurovision title in 2018, Israel’s Netta Barzilai and her high-energy single “Toy” has been making waves beyond the continent. This time, with Gold certification in Brazil. Netta is now heading to Madrid on December 8th.
Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is reverting back from an internal selection of the artist, to an open selection where all artists could submit their songs to the national selection, and compete to represent Finland in Rotterdam. The Finnish national broadcaster YLE confirmed that the interest was big for next year’s selection, as they have received a total of 426 songs, and selected the best six to proceed to the televised final.
I.B Music & Production claims through an official announcement that ORF selected among three potential singers, Thea Divvy to represent the country in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. ORF has yet made no official statement.
Mahmood will attend the final of THE VOICE OF POLAND on November 30th. The next day will be a guest in the TVP morning show.
RTVE is currently working with a number of different composers and songwriters, on a variety of songs to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Ana Maria Bordas revealed in an interview with Formula TV, that she is aiming to have selected the Spanish entry for Rotterdam by early January. The broadcaster has not set a specific style of song that they wish to see Blas perform on stage in the Netherlands. With Ms Bordas adding that it is important that Blas “identifies with his song for Eurovision”.
On 6 February 2020, it is that time again. Then Flemish broadcaster VRT, in collaboration with POPPUNT, presents the annual Music Industry Awards. Traditionally, the public will vote for their favourite artists of the year. Belgian Eurovision 2020 candidate Hooverphonic has a chance of winning two awards. Read more about it in this article.
