ESCKAZ.COM REPORTS / ISRAEL – Eurovision tickets that were sold contrary to the guidelines of KAN will be cancelled. At the request of the broadcasting corporation, Leaan ticket office will cancel the tickets sold to senior communications executives instead of the general public “contrary to the instructions.” However, ticket sales will not be renewed until it becomes clear how they were sold in the first place.
Among the persons who got the tickets avoiding regular sales were senior figures from the world of culture and sports, television executives and even the show hosts Erez Tal and Assi Azar. Other names on the list are also senior executives in the television industry, including two CEOs and a vice president.
In total there were 300 tickes affected according to KAN and only a few dozens according to Leaan. All tickets involved were for the best seats in the hall, were paid full price and were sold directly, avoiding the queue. They were reserved in advance, before the regular sales have started.
