Eurovision 2018: we will get the stage design in January
PORTUGAL – RTP announced last Tuesday, 7th November, not only all the logos for Eurovision 2018, what will be the 63rd Eurovision but also that in January, they will reveal the Stage that will form the basis for the contest.
The person creatively responsible for this year’s image is Nicolau Tudela, who confirmed that there will be 12 images that will encompass the 2018 Eurovision. The choice of 12 represents the number of maximum points available for songs at the contest.
Describing the choice of a snail shell, it is aimed at showing the togetherness of 12 species of marine life who live in harmony in the ocean and the European people who make up Eurovision, it is aimed at representing diversity and will be more visual when Eurovision takes place in May.
Although it may appear an unusual choice and leads to more questions than answers, the organisers are clear that the contest will be simple but effective and that the logo will introduce everyone to the history of Portugal and make a small relationship with the Nautilus of Jules Verne.
