UKRAINE – Ukrainian national broadcaster, NTU, confirmed today that Dnipro is the second city which submitted its bid for hosting the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Dnipro joins Kyiv in the bidding race. Dnipro is the 4th largest city of the country having 1 million inhabitants. The final decision will be made on August 1st and according to Ukrainian government officials cities are really struggling with the prerequisites as there is no arena fit by EBU rules to host the event at the moment. Eurovision 2017 is set now in new dates (provisional again) set for May 9, 11 and 13.
