Vasil Dimitrov (Bulgaria)
KYIV, UKRAINE – After the news the past few days about the confirmed participation of UK, Spain, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Cyprus and Bosnia & Herzegovina’s application, the anticipated news of the day is he return of Ukraine to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Zurab Alasania, the general director of Ukraine’s National Television Company (NTU), seems to have confirmed his country’s return to Eurovision 2016 in regional press. NTU seems though it will collaborate with a commercial broadcaster for the project of national selection.
In 2015 Ukraine withdraw from the contest not only due to financial matters but also out of respect on the ongoing crisis in the country, a reason absolutely respected by all. Mariya Yaremchuk was proudly the last representative of Ukraine in 2014 Eurovision Song Contest edition.
