Eurovision 2015: the opening act info for the Grand Final
VIENNA, AUSTRIA – The host broadcaster of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, ORF, has revealed details for the opening act for the grand final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest which will not only feature last year’s winner Cocnhita Wurst but also the famous Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Boys Choir, violinist Lidia Baich, rapper Left Boy and the ORF Radio-Symphonic Orchestra.
The opening act aims to present various Austrian musical styles for all generations and the orchestras will be accompanied by dance groups on stage.
The opening act will begin with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra playing in various parts of the country until finally making its way to the host venue. It will be followed Lidia Baich, which will perform Udo Jurgens’ “Merci Cherie”.
2014 Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst will then make her way to the stage to perform the official anthem of this year’s event entitled “Building Bridges”. She will be accompanied by The Vienna Boys Choir and Left Boy.
The opening will come to an end with the ORF Radio-Symphonic orchestra performing various classical pieces under the guidance of Peter Pejtsik. A total of 200 artists will take part in the opening act which will be performed on May 23.
