Eurovision 2015: ORF seeks for volunteers
VIENNA, AUSTRIA – Austrian national broadcaster hosts the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest and calls for volunteers to help the event which marks its 60th anniversary. The application is available at songcontest.orf.at.
Edgar Böhm, Executive Producer of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest says: “It’s been nearly 50 years that the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Austria – this grand event is an incredible experience for our team, which will stay in our memories forever […] Volunteers are the front line of the Eurovision Song Contest. They are the calling cards of the event and the entire country. They have extreme influence on how visitors will view Austria after two straight weeks of constant interaction.”
All you need is passion, been 18 years old and above, speak fluently German and English and be available between May 4th to 24th of May, 2015. Interested parties should apply online with a curriculum vitae and a cover letter, and then apply for a casting between the 2nd and the 15th of February next year.
The castings will be held in all of the nine Austrian province studios, and the final casting on the 14th and 15th of March in Vienna. The positions ORF wants to fill are versatile. Volunteers will be deployed in the press centre, the info desks, the accreditations, in the assistance of the audience and the production team, as delegation hosts as well as team leaders, eurovision.tv reports.
