Eurovision 2015: 8.9 million Euros approved by Vienna’s City Council
VIENNA, AUSTRIA – Vienna’s City Council approved 8,9 million Euros as the budget for the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, www.vienna.at reported today. The money will be used for the venue, Wiener Stadthalle including rental of the venue, personnel, power and cleaning.
ORF’s Alexander Wrabetz says that what happened in Copenhagen with the budget exceeding 10 million Euros is in the past and will not happen in Vienna.
In the meantime Isabella Leeb, culture spokesperson for the Social Democratic Party reacted to the fact that ORF and City of Vienna have not signed a contract for hosting the contest in Vienna.
