Fans of the international song contest Eurovision called Litesound the best performer of the last ten years. The Belarusian band won the 6th edition of oikotimes.com’s Eurostar Award, BelTA has learnt. Visitors to the website, including Eurovision fans and journalists covering the contest, compiled a list of over 4,500 nominations participating in the Eurovision scene the past year.
The international jury shortlisted ten best artists and launched an interactive voting that lasted several months. One person could vote for only one performer. The Belarusian band scored the most points (14,422). The Belarusian musicians were followed by Eurovision 2005 winner from Greece Helena Paparizou (11,960), Ivi Adamou from Cyprus (4,622), Eurovision 2012 winner Loreen (4,149), and Buranovskiye Babushki (657).
