ESTONIA – This year’s Estonian songwriter Victor Crone now enjoys Israeli charms and stores his Eurovision postcard there. “It’s going to be a lot of fun, yesterday we were at Tel Aviv Beach. Victor acted diligently and in the meantime even danced a bit, ”says Tomi Rahula, the head of the Estonian euro delegation.
Tom and Victor traveled to Tel Aviv on Tuesday. “We traveled all day. I arrived earlier, Victor came from Stockholm, and his flight was late, but he still arrived in time, ”says Tom, that the first day passed when they were traveling. “Tuesday was a test day, in the evening we went to the old town for dinner.” “This system is great for them here. It’s been a great time. ”
Thursday passed to Victoria, however, in front of the cameras. His postcard – a video clip that precedes Eurovision’s performance for each country – will be picked up at Tel Aviv Beach. “It was great. The weather was super – basically the Estonian summer, 21-22 degrees, ”says Tomi. In fact, Victor had to record his postcard already in March, but then the weather went bad.
Tom laughs that he has not yet understood exactly what postcard video is about. “There have been a lot of techniques that were tried out on the rehearsal room with dancers on Tuesday. But all postcards are built on movement and associated with local dance groups. Soloists also move themselves a little bit more who are less. ”While there is still time to see the end result, Tom believes it will be awesome. “A couple of pieces have already been made, and the ones I’ve seen were awkward.”
At the same time, some other euro singers are also recording in Israel, but they have not been able to communicate with the Estonian team. “The team has several teams and shots take place in different places at once. Teams come and go every day, but we haven’t had time to meet. In this sense, we went well to get our shot in Tel Aviv and didn’t have to drive two hours in the morning to get to the scene. ”
Tom says that the local team has their vision of postcards and they are not talking about the content directly. “They have their own thoughts and it’s not bad. We trust them and everything seems okay. ”However, each artist posted a list of things he could or did not do, so the film teams were better prepared.
Although Eurovision will only travel to the delegation in early May, Victor is still full of hands and feet. Next weekend, he will attend the Eurovision premier in London, but next week he will fly to Madrid for a prelude. “There is no other thing except for Estonian performances. If we get the final confirmation of the stage, we need to take some samples, ”says Tomi. However, he can see him at home on Friday, when Victor gives a concert at the 30+ party at the Culture Cauldron.
