COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – We are less than 6 month away from Eurovision 2014 to be held in Copenhagen… Refshaleøen site is still a brownfield and is far from looking like the promised Eurovision Island and the venue itself, B&W Hallerne still looks like abandoned shipyards… But thanks to this video we can understand that the Danes definitely know how they want to stage the show and are already working hard on it.
We are given details of the project : a VIP area (mainly EBU officials and Queen Margrethe of Denmark’s family), a gigantic tent for the press, B&W Hallderne will be covered with huge logos of Eurovision 2014 and news doors will be built. The most interesting information is that DR seems to have given up the idea of an island-shaped stage. Part of the audience will now be sitting in a giant horseshoe before the stage itself.
Head of the show, Jan Lagermand Lundme, is enjoying himself in the role of guide of the forthcoming « Eurovision Island ». (Careful, you’ll need your imagination watching the video!)
