KREUZLINGEN, SWITZERLAND – Swiss broadcaster SRF has been duped by German singer Nico Honey who entered Eric Saade’s 2010 Melodifestivalen entry “Manboy” to the Swiss national Eurovision selection.

Honey sent in “Manboy” under the name “Mamboy” with a slight acoustic makeover. SRF took no notice and uploaded the song on their Eurovision platform dedicated to their national selection.

Eric Saade competed in the 2010 Swedish national selection Melodifestivalen where his entry “Manboy” came third but went on to become a nation-wide hit. A year later, Eric represented Sweden at Eurovision with the song “Popular”, finishing third in the final.
