Emmelie and Basim nominated for award
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – Danish music magazine Gaffa has nominated “Rainmaker” by Danish Eurovision winner Emmelie de Forest as “hit of the year.” The song was the 2014 anthem of the Eurovision Song Contest and became a hit on Danish Singles Chart right after the release in February and also reached the charts in Germany, Ireland, Sweden, United Kingdom and Switzerland.
The Danish entrant in the 2014 contest Basim has also been nominated as hit of the year for his song “Cliche Love Song” which received an 9th place at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The awards are given by the public and you can vote for Emmelie or Basim on this link (in Danish). The award show will take place on December 4th in Copenhagen and Danish TV channel DR3 will broadcast the show live from 19:45 CET.
DID YOU KNOW?
Rainmaker was the official tune of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen and was performed as the interval act during the Grand Final with all 26 finalists joining Emmelie on stage.
