Edurne sings for Disney’s Cinderella
MADRID, SPAIN – Edurne, who will represent Spain in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest has been busy working on numerous projects. One of these has been to contribute to the newly released version of Disney’s Cinderella.
The film which is directed by Kenneth Branagh and is an animated adventure comprising the story of the classic fairytale, will include a song “Soñar”, performed by Edurne. This will only be heard in the Spanish-dubbed version of the film, scheduled to be released in Spain on 27th March.
A recent promotion of the film in Spain, included a visit by the director and main star of the film; Richard Madden, who were accompanied by Edurne. As she is the most recognised of the three to Spanish audiences, she has become the recognised face for the film. The video of the song has been released online and includes Edurne alternating with actual scenes from the movie.
Being a part of a Disney production is nothing new to Edurne who started her career working on the Disney channel and colaborating with the famous starlet stable on various shows for children. It does however take focus away from “Amanecer”, her chosen song for Vienna but does allow for greater exposure of the performer at a vital moment in the lead-up to the annual showcase known as Eurovision.
