Edurne records “Amanecer” with Orchestra
Jaime Solloso (Spain)
MADRID, SPAIN – Spanish Eurovision representative, Edurne, has recorded her song “Amenecer” (Sunrise) with the RTVE Orchestra. This has comprised 22 violins, 8 violas, 6 violincello and 4 bass and brings the song to another level.
The recording took place at the Monumental theatre and is aimed at marketing the song prior to its appearance in Austria.
“Amanecer” is described as not the typical Spanish entry and is not a ballad, so the emergence of an orchestral version is a little surprising however it “is very emotional, it gives you a mix of happiness, joy… a feeling of wanting to scream out loud”, says Edurne.
A further version comprising an Orchestra and Chorus is planned to also be recorded, this will help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Symphonic Orchestra of TVE which happens to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Eurovision.
