Sidse Babette Knudsen and Nicolai Lie Kaas are tipped by Jens Erik Møller, DR blogger as two strong candidates for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest.

Sidse Babett Knudsen is a Danish actress who works in theatre, television, and film. Knudsen made her screen debut in the 1997 improvisational comedy Let’s Get Lost, for which she received both the Robert and Bodil awards for Best Actress.

Following the critical success of her debut, Knudsen has been considered one of the top Danish actresses of her generation. In 2000, she again won both best actress awards for the comedy romance Den Eneste Ene. Knudsen has also received nominations for her lead roles in the films Monas Verden (Mona’s World) and Efter brylluppet (After the Wedding).

Knudsen achieved international recognition for her leading role as fictional Danish Prime Minister Birgitte Nyborg in the Danish TV series Borgen.

Nikolaj Lie Kaas is a prominent Danish actor whose career rose in the 1990s and who is still actively working today. He has hosted Zulu Comedy Galla on Danish TV three times (2009, 2011, 2012) so far. He is the son of actor Preben Kaas and actor and writer Anne Mari Lie and father of two daughters, Gerda and Esther.

More names have been tipped though for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 by the DR blogger whomakes suggestions to the national broadcaster. Trine Dyrholm is also an actress who could do the job he says in his blog.

Louise Wolff, Sofie Lassen-Kahlke and Lise Rønne hosted the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix last year, can one of them enter the running bid for Eurovision 2014 hosting spot, the blogger wonders.

Tim Schou, lead singer of A Friend in London, who represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 is also considered a co host according to DR blog along with Nikolai Lie Kaas or Thomas Forest.

We have a long way till the choice of the host(s). Until then what do you think?
