Donna McCaul to attend US Voice for open call auditions
INDIPENDENT.IE REPORTS – Donna McCaul may have flopped at Eurovision when she, along with brother Joseph failed to make it through to the final, but the Westmeath singer is not giving up on a music career.
The 30-year-old singer has been chasing her dream in LA and attended open call auditions for The Voice USA this weekend.
The hit show features coaches Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine who judge singers without seeing them and only turn their big red chairs if they want that voice on their team.
Donna has made it through to the blind auditions and is hoping her voice causes at least one of those chairs to spin.
She’s no stranger to reality talent competitions, having won You’re A Star and represented Ireland at Eurovision in the Ukraine in 1995, with younger brother Joe (25).
“So guys I am proud to say I have got through to the Voice USA,” she revealed. “Have been celebrating all day. What a fantastic achievement.”
