DENMARK – Danish national broadcaster started today the quest for the 2017 national selection. DR announced that submissions due on September 5th along with some format changes. The two years in a row elimination from the Grand Final in Eurovision brought changes for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. One of the changes is that authors and singers should be Danish or in direct connection with Denmark (i.e married or living in Denmark for years and include the Faroe Island residents). Upon submission, producer Cutfather along with a jury will select the songs for the national final (no number of finalists determined yet). There will also be invited authors for the national final. Host city of DMGP is not yet decided.
