Tulisa has denied reports that she was setting her sights on the Eurovision Song Contest in a plot to return to the charts. The former The X Factor judge racked up three top 20 hits in 2012 — including her number one debut single Young. However, the 30 year old attempted a failed comeback in 2015 when Living Without You limped into the charts at number 44 and a cover of Shanks & Bigfoot’s Sweet Like Chocolate failed to chart.
Voice of Ukraine star Oto Nemsadze will be competing in the show Sakartvelos Varskvlabi, which will be acting as Georgian preselecton for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Ukrainian group KAZKA will participate in Ukraine’s Eurovision selection show Vidbir 2019. Ukrainian broadcaster UA:PBC have revealed on social media that KAZKA will participate in Vidbir 2019. Leading up to the announcement, the group were rumoured to be taking part in the selection.

The former Director General of Kringvarp Føroya has revealed that the they’ve been informed they’re now eligible for membership of the European Broadcasting Union. Membership of the EBU would cost the Faroese broadcaster around 500,000 Euro per year. Mr Grótinum explained: “It’s a lot of money, but the EBU is so much more than the Grand Prix (Eurovision). EBU has a number of other services, news and so much else that we can benefit from.”

San Marino RTV has announced that the artist and the song for Tel Aviv has been chosen. “We are soon to host an official press conference in San Marino in a few weeks time, when we will give further details about RTV’s participation’ – stated the HoD Alessandro Capicchioni. ‘At the moment we are working on the post production of the song and the videoclip”. As soon as this news came from the Sammarinese national broadcaster, rumours started going around saying that Rodrigo Alves (also known as the Human Ken Doll) has been chosen to represent the micro nation in next year’s Eurovision. He hinted his participation in this Contest on his Instagram page, where he was posing with an Italian producer Leo Marchi, and an artist manager and owner of the Italian record label “Sheky” – Alessio Fiorucci.
At the Christmas charity concert Poli made a premiere of her new song – “Geroite” (The Heroes). With the song Poli wants to give hope, strength and support to the parents – the heroes of premature babies. She shares that in the first days of January she will release the official video of the song on her official YouTube channel. The inspirational song “Geroite” is based on the music of Krasimir Todorov and Poli Genova, and the lyrics by Poli herself. The Eurovision star said her latest song “Geroite” is a really special project for her and her new family: “I was inspired by the donations of the baby nappies for the premature babies that Pampers did. I felt that I could give a little strength and courage, dedicating my song to the youngest babies and the other heroes – their parents who struggle every second for the lives of their children.”
