In an interview with Wirtualnemedia.pl, Jacek Kurksi the President of TVP has spoken about the selection process for the host city of Junior Eurovision 2019. Mr Kurski explained that above all, the cost of the proposed bids will be the ultimate factor, explaining;
“The Specification of Conditions will be presented, taking into account primarily the quality of the hall, its availability – it must be available a month before the Eurovision to prepare it for this event, and the budget that the city will submit for financial installation with TVP to enter the co-organization of this event. I do not hide that we are conducting television very economically, it will be an important criterion for us.”
A meeting was held with all five acts today at RTCG, where also the draw of the running order was held. The only band, D-Moll are going to open the show, whilst Nina Petković is going to perform last. The full running order is as follows:

Lejla A. Babovic, Head of Delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, says that Eurovision return is possible only when debt is settled and when the issue of financing of public services in BiH is resolved. The problem exists since June 2016 and so far has not been resolved by the legislation, and the first change should be introduction of a model of efficient collection of media fees.

The Parliament of Catalonia has this week passed a measure that gives its approval for the regional broadcaster including TV3 to push forward with full membership of the European Broadcasting Union. El Nacional reports that a measure asking whether the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals (Catalan Broadcasting Corporation) should be a member of the EBU, was approved by 75 yes votes to 56 no votes and 4 abstentions. A follow up vote regarding whether Catalonia should participate in the Eurovision Song Contest was also passed with 69 yes votes to 60 no votes and 6 abstentions.
