Cyprus 2018 🇨🇾 first reactions more than positive from abroad as Greek / Cypriot fans are not that thrilled
CYPRUS – Twitter got on fire, moments after the 2018 Cypriot entry presented yesterday night. Checking the Tweets you can clearly see that international Eurofans are more than excited with the song, the production, the singer herself and the potential of the Cypriot entry.
But this is not exactly the case inland (Greece and Cyprus). The first reactions of course from the Eleni Foureira Fan Club were thrilling. But those of you who can speak Greek if you check the Greeek Eurovision fan sites can easily see that they expected more.
This is though the case with Greeks and Cypriots in most Eurovision selections. Of course, the good thing for Eleni is that Greek fans don’t consider the song as trash, as they were not satisfied on the level of power they wanted for the song. In most cases, the negative comments conclude with the hope that Eleni will slay the song during her live performance in Lisbon.
We are sure about that, Eleni is an eye-candy even if she performs the national anthem on stage. She magnetises the audience and you easily forget whether the song is nice or anything else you consider as a problem.
In the meantime one of the first Eurovision participants wishing Eleni Foureira congratulations and the best of luck was her fellow colleague in Panik Records and Greek representative, Yianna Terzi.
Sadly we got the information (from secure source) that Eleni Foureira’s team are not interested into follow up any of the promo events scheduled through out Europe but officially nothing has been decided as at the moment top priority was the release of the 2018 Eurovision entry.
We remind you that digital stores will start selling the song as of March 9th. The video clip was directed by one of the most talented Greek directors, Apollon Papatheocharis and the locations were the Municipality Theatre of Piraeus and the area of Marathon. The moment we wrote this post, 6 hours after the official release the video clip has more than 120,000 views on YouTube.
Check some of the Tweets from the international fans, who after all will be the eligible voting audience for Cyprus and Eleni Foureira.
