Cyprus 2015: fourth auditions show review & results
Fotis Konstantopoulos (Greece)
NISOCIA, CYPRUS – The Cypriot national selection “Eurovision Song Project 2015” is ongoing with the fourth auditions show taking place tonight. The stiff show with the dark studio, lack-of-imagination settings and four jury members who try with dignity to save the day included the next set of acts who bid for the next preliminary phase of the show. No comment for the dreadful hostess of the show!

Groove Therapy – #IsThisRealLife
Nikos Trikkis – Eime edo
Minus One – Shine qualified

Nelena Paparisva – Run Run Run

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SHOW
The show clearly is using the format of “The Voice” with the family and friends backstage crying out loud how proud they are for their untalented friends and kids. Each show has some descent and many hilarious songs. That’s actually not a surprise for me: Cyprus is known for breeding great voices but never great songs! That’s the main problem the island always had in the Eurovision Song Contest. From the songs of tonight’s show two of them made a clear difference. The two (and only) qualifiers of the show are already considered among the eurofans the favourites to win the entire thing. Minus One are already the most popular band in the island after all. No matter on my view on the show idea and production at least the qualifiers are the deserved ones.
