CROATIA – The head of the Croatian delegation, Elizabeth Homsi (HRT), presented the concept of Rok’s performance to Eurovision production teams.
– We are working out the rock show to the tiniest details, creatively and dramatically improved in relation to the performance that we had the opportunity to see at Dora, so that the production team of the ESC has an interesting challenge to visualize and revive the Croatian “The Dream” using the endless technical capabilities of Eurosong. Considering everything we had the opportunity to hear and see in the day-to-day meetings of the heads of delegations, I can say that the Eurosong 2019 TV spectacle will offer a series of genuine and creative solutions that we had not seen before on the Eurovision stage.
Israel has made extraordinary efforts, including the ESC, the EBU and the host of the “broadcasters” of KAN TV, top experts have been hired, and we are extremely pleased that Roko with the song “The Dream” is a recognizable part of this year’s slogan of Eurovision “Dare to dream “.
Roko is one of the first contestants to record a Eurovision postcard these days in Israel. Details should certainly not be disclosed, but Roko does not hide the pleasure of staying in Tel Aviv, which he shares with his fans via social networks.
– After three days of staying in Israel and Tel Aviv, I am very satisfied with the intensive preparations, new acquaintances and work done. I met a lot of people from all over Europe, and the production team at the highest level – delighted with the work and creative solutions of the official director and all of his associates. We recorded a postcard that will be broadcast before my performance, and for now I can detect that we have recorded it in a really special place, in several locations, and that it will be very imaginative, youthful and dancing, in line with the slogan of this part of the preparation – Dancing in Israel!
The recording was extremely demanding, it lasted from six in the morning to late afternoon hours, but it paid off and I can not wait to see the postcard all over Europe. Israel is a beautiful country, and the hosts are excellent – they are really investing a lot of effort into the whole process, and I especially felt that they had come to our song with much attention and to create the idea of a postcard in detail, studying the concept of our performance to the smallest details. I am proud that they like the song, as well as the performance with Dora, and we invest great effort and knowledge to upgrade this performance and revive the creative ideas of our Dream Team! I am looking forward to returning to Israel in May, when I will most proudly and proudly represent my Croatia on the world’s largest music stage !, Roko said with great pleasure.
This year’s carpet is not red, but orange, and is the visual identity of the Eurovision Song Contest of 2019, the three triangles that make up the golden star. Israel is the third time host of the competition (1979, 1999, 2019), but unlike the previous two, when the election was held in Jerusalem, this year’s host is a ‘non-sleeping city’ – Tel Aviv.
