Conchita’s trip to Poland creates controversy

KIELCE, POLAND – The reactions upon the visit of Conchita Wurst to Poland and performance at the Covern Festival in Kielce doesn’t seem to stop, the unstoppable 2014 Eurovision Song Contest winner. She will be there performing three songs on June 27th at 21:00 CET.
She’s the only international guest for the concert and her presence is aimed to promote the region of Swietokrzyskie and the city of Kielce while Conchita will also attend interview sessions at TVP and TVN.
It seems that the Catholic Church of Poland joined the reactions of some local politicians calling Conchita as a “satanic figure” opposing to her visit. Regional Tourism Organisation responds though that they consider Conchita as one more artistic act like Tootsie or Ms. Doubtfire, not looking for an ideology behind her appearance. Since she was welcomed to a respected TV station like BBC they don’t see the reason why not appearing on TVP! and if Conchita can meet the UN Secretary General why not to be able to visit Kielce! (We would like to add that if a meteorite falls on earth and destroys the human civilization it will be due to Conchita, and we are strongly supporting the theory – NOT!)
Conchita will meet Justyna Steczkowska (Poland 1995) during the festival.
