NEGATIVE REACTIONS ON HRT WITHDRAWAL

Couple days ago Croatian national broadcaster stated that we won’t see their representative in Denmark. They said that it is due to the financial crisis, but that is such a valid excuse. San Marino and FYR Macedonia are smaller countries and they already have not just confirmed their performances, but also chosen their representatives. SERBIA TO DECIDE PARTICIPATION NEXT WEEK

Serbia’s national broadcaster RTS is still considering whether it will compete at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. ESC 2014: JURY RULES TIGHTENED

EUROVISION.TV REPORTS European Broadcasting Union released the rules for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. Although the fundamentals have not changed, organisers are tightening the rules and increasing openness on the jury voting, which makes up 50% of the outcome in each participating country. ESC 2014: DR ASKS FOR EXTRA CASH!

The host of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, broadcaster DR, has applied for additional funds from the Danish Ministry of Culture to stage next year’s event. Croatian Radiotelevision decided not to participate in Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Hrvatska radiotelevizija, the Croatian national broadcaster, decided that Croatia will not participate at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest next year in Copenhagen.
