BNT: Political instability delays Bulgaria’s decision
SOFIA, BULGARIA – Following the mystery about the 39th country as reported yesterday, BNT informed the press today that they haven’t reach a final decision about Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
The flexible dates of participation paperwork submission and withdraw without penalty will give to Bulgaria (along with other countries) the time to try their best to find a way to participate in the 60th Eurovision edition. After all it’s the anniversary show and only stupid political minds (like the one of TRT executives) can miss, unless serious political or economical reasons apply (Ukraine for example).
Bulgarian broadcaster claims that political situation in the country is delaying the decision of the broadcaster and they expect to be able to answer the next few weeks. Originally BNT gave as a reason the lack of sponsors. Political situations means that BNT is waiting for the government to approve a bigger budget for the national broadcaster.
