During next week, the Serbian broadcaster RTS will release details on applicants vying to compete in the national final Beosong. Applications can be submitted until tomorrow evening. A special team of judges will then choose the 15 best songs which will compete in the semi final on March 2. Serbian televoters will select the best five songs which will take to the stage again the following day. A winner will be chosen from the five via a public televote.
So far, Vukašin Brajić, who represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2010, has confirmed he has applied for Beosong as part of the three member OT Band. They have submitted a song titled “Thank you for the good times” written by Marko Kon (who represented Serbia in 2009).
Furthermore, the half brother of 2007 Eurovision winner Marija Šerifović has also applied. Danijel Pavlović has submitted a song penned by Marina Tucaković (who also wrote Serbia’s 2010 and 2012 entries). Danijel competed in the former Serbian national selection Beovizija in 2008 in a duet with singer Milica Majstorović with the song “H8ER”. They came third in the final. Singer Nenad Cvijetić has also applied for Beovizija with the song “Jedna ljubav” (One love).
The fifteen semi-finalists will be revealed in February.
