BELARUS – Many of us doubted if Alekseev could deliver the song in good vocals. Betting odds consider his entry a quite sure qualifier for the final. I am not that optimistic but I cannot see a real reason why not. The presentation with the roses and the trick with his back looks good on camera and definitely will intrigue the viewers. Alekseev is considered a top newcomer star in Ukraine (hope attending the Russian superstar Kirkorov’s party will not damage his image back home) but somehow he lacks of star quality. Especially during the interviews you have the impression that he has prepared what he will say and he will say it no matter what you ask him. Anyway I am a bit confused. Alekseev is wearing an elegant white gown which I like, but one end of it is at a different length to the other which I don’t like. The stage presentation is theatrical and is very interesting to watch it on your screens. But something is missing… although when you listen to the song on an mp3 you simply adore it. By default one of the best entries from Belarus despite the conflict for its originality.

ESCKAZ.COM: Similar rehearsal to the first one a few days ago – sounding good, still completely over the top of course.
ESCBUBBLE.COM: I think this deserves to qualify, just not sure if it will as I feel there’s so much competition in this Semi final.
ESCXTRA.COM: His vocal is as capable as ever!
EUROVOIX.COM: There are some good camera angles that show off the projections and scale of the performance. This remains one of the favourites to qualify but has steadily slipped further away from winning according to the bookmakers.
